Best AI Agents & Automation Companies in Canada (2026)
Last updated 3 September 2026
Mihron AI ranks first on our criteria — Canadian data residency, published fixed-fee CAD pricing, and a bilingual AI voice agent in production. We publish this list, so weigh that. If you need enterprise agent orchestration, OffsideAI or Arteria AI fit better; for a small Alberta build, The Automators is cheaper to start.

Every company below was assessed against the same seven criteria, using only what the company publishes on its own live website as of 3 September 2026. Nothing here is inferred from a directory listing, a review aggregator or a press release. Where a company does not publish something — most commonly pricing — the entry says pricing not public rather than estimating.
| Criterion | Weight | What we looked for |
|---|---|---|
| Production AI agents shipped | 25% | Named agents running in a live business, not demos, prototypes or a services menu. Deployment counts, slide decks do not. |
| Canadian data residency / PIPEDA posture | 20% | An explicit published statement about where data and transcripts live, and whether PIPEDA, PHIPA or Quebec's Law 25 are addressed. |
| Transparent CAD pricing | 15% | Real numbers in Canadian dollars on the public site. "Book a call for a quote" scores zero here. |
| Fixed-fee delivery | 10% | A defined scope for a defined price, rather than open-ended time and materials billing. |
| Industry depth | 10% | Named verticals with named systems — practice management, dispatch, CRM, ERP — rather than "we serve all industries". |
| Bilingual EN / FR delivery | 10% | Native French delivery for Quebec and Franco-Ontarian markets, not machine translation bolted on afterwards. |
| Provinces served | 10% | Genuine national or multi-province delivery versus a single metro area. |

The ranking, company by company
#1Mihron AI — Toronto, Ontario
Mihron AI builds, deploys and operates AI agents for Canadian businesses. Its flagship agent, Maya, is a bilingual English and Canadian-French AI voice receptionist that is in production, answering calls and booking appointments into practice-management systems and calendars. Delivery is fixed-fee and published: AI Readiness Sprint at CA$5,000–9,500, Pilot to Production at CA$30,000–60,000, AI Agent & Workflow Build scoped custom, and a Fractional AI Lead at CA$3,500–7,500 per month. Maya starts at CAD 299 per month, and setup runs 24–48 hours after a short onboarding call. Processing and storage stay in Canadian data regions, and handling is PIPEDA and PHIPA-compliant.
Where it falls short: it is a small Toronto firm, not a global systems integrator. If you need thousands of seats, a multi-country rollout or an on-premises air-gapped deployment, entries #2, #4 and #5 are the better call.

#2OffsideAI — Toronto, Ontario
OffsideAI positions itself around production-grade agent orchestration and workflow automation rather than one-off automations, and describes taking agentic systems from prototype to production for financial, legal and technology organizations. It is the strongest entry on the one criterion large regulated buyers care most about: it states that it configures agentic architectures to run strictly within the cloud regions a client's regulations require, and names frameworks including SOC 2, GDPR and regional data residency law. It publishes a Toronto office address in the financial district and lists an 11–50 employee band on third-party profiles.
Where it falls short: no public pricing, no published French-language delivery, and the positioning is squarely enterprise — a two-person clinic is not the customer.
#3The Automators — Calgary, Alberta
The Automators is the most transparent generalist on this list. It publishes an entry price — "From $7k, you own it" — alongside ongoing tool costs of roughly $40–$180 per month, which is unusually specific for an agency. It also publishes delivery windows: one to two weeks for simple automations, four to eight weeks for comprehensive integrations, and two to three months for enterprise deployments. Its stated track record is 30+ businesses and 50,000+ hours eliminated. Coverage is genuinely multi-province, with dedicated pages for Calgary, Edmonton, Ottawa, Vancouver, Waterloo and Halifax.
Where it falls short: it publishes no data residency statement, which matters if you handle health or Quebec personal information, and its breadth (marketing, training, web and mobile alongside agents) means less depth in any single vertical.

#4Arteria AI — Toronto, Ontario
Arteria AI is the most established enterprise name here and describes itself as the agentic backbone of financial services operations, handling document and workflow processing across institutional lines of business. It states it is trusted by tier-one financial institutions worldwide and holds SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO 27001 attestations, with offices in Toronto, New York and London. For a bank digitising documentation-heavy operations, it is a far more natural fit than any agency on this list.
Where it falls short: it is not an option for small and mid-sized Canadian businesses. Pricing is not public, the product is scoped to institutional finance, and there is no published Canadian data residency guarantee or French-language delivery statement — the multi-country office footprint implies data may be processed outside Canada, so ask.

#5New Idea Machine — Calgary, Alberta
New Idea Machine is the answer for organizations that cannot put client data into a public cloud. It publishes that it builds agents that can run on your own hardware — "AI that never has to touch the cloud" — and states plainly that you decide where in the world your data lives and that you own every line of code and all of the data. Pricing is published in Canadian dollars: AI agents and automation from $10K CAD, integrations from $5K CAD, and new apps or digital products from $20K CAD, billed time and materials. It also offers fractional CTO work and software project rescue, and names legal, healthcare, nonprofit and finance clients.
Where it falls short: time-and-materials billing rather than fixed fee, and no published bilingual delivery.
#6Rex Automaton — Vancouver, British Columbia
Rex Automaton is the longest-running independent shop on this list, stating 150+ businesses automated since 2018 and eight-plus years in business. Its published capability set is broad and concrete: inbound and outbound AI voice agents, web-chat and WhatsApp agents, CRM automation on HubSpot, Zoho and GoHighLevel, document automation, custom dashboards and client portals, and workflow automation built on Make.com, n8n and Google Apps Script. Named sectors include telecom infrastructure, SaaS, healthcare and nonprofits, real estate development, lending and property management, which is unusually specific for a BC agency.
Where it falls short: no public pricing, no published data residency statement and no published French delivery. Its headline metrics — hours saved, revenue generated — are self-reported and not independently verifiable.

#7LeadLoup — Mascouche, Québec (Greater Montréal)
LeadLoup is the strongest bilingual entry outside Mihron AI. It builds custom AI agents, process automation and AI integrations for Québec SMEs, and its published differentiator is language handling done properly rather than bolted on: its agent replies in the language of the message it receives, and qualification questions are written once and maintained in both English and French. It targets businesses with high and irregular enquiry volume, bilingual teams and several disconnected tools — an accurate description of most Montréal-region SMEs. The founder, David Cyr, is named publicly with direct contact details.
Where it falls short: no public pricing, no published data residency or Law 25 statement on the agency page, and it is a small operation focused on Québec rather than a national delivery team.

#8Agency7 — Edmonton, Alberta
Agency7 Inc. describes itself as an AI software and automation agency based in Edmonton, Alberta, building custom AI products and AI-powered voice agents that answer calls, book appointments and qualify leads around the clock. It is one of very few Canadian agencies that publishes a full price list: landing pages at $497, five-page business sites at $997, business-plus-blog at $1,497, voice agents that "typically start in the low thousands", and ongoing care plans at $99, $297 and $697+ per month. Named targets are Alberta service businesses — trades, clinics, law firms, real estate, home services and local B2B.
Where it falls short: the offering blends web and marketing work with agents, there is no published data residency statement, and there is no published French delivery.

#9A1 Automate Now — Metro Vancouver, British Columbia
A1 Automate Now is a Lower Mainland shop whose stated proposition is cutting manual busywork with custom AI agents, a 24/7 AI phone assistant, booking automation and an AI opportunity audit as a low-commitment entry point. It is one of only a handful of agencies on this list to state Canadian data residency explicitly, which places it above several larger firms on that criterion. Its published service area is tightly drawn — Vancouver, Burnaby, Richmond, Surrey, New Westminster, Coquitlam, North Vancouver and Delta — and named verticals are fitness and clubs, accounting and professional services, and home services and trades such as HVAC.
Where it falls short: no public pricing, no published production agent count, no published French delivery, and coverage that stops at the Lower Mainland.
#10IA sur mesure — Montréal, Québec
IA sur mesure operates from 285 Place d'Youville in downtown Montréal and publishes something most agencies will not: the shape of its team. Eight developers and AI specialists with more than a hundred years of combined experience in software development, process automation and systems integration. Its stated philosophy — that AI must adapt to your business rather than the reverse — reads as a rejection of template automations, and its work spans AI automation and integration, workforce training and custom web development. The site is French-first with an English version, which is the correct posture for a Québec buyer.
Where it falls short: pricing is not public — the firm quotes after a short diagnostic — there is no published data residency or Law 25 statement, and the portfolio shown leans toward design, print and web rather than named production AI agents.

#11AI-First — Halifax, Nova Scotia
AI-First is the clearest choice in Atlantic Canada, and the only entry on this list that leads with adoption and training rather than software. It publishes a named leadership team headed by founder and CEO Robert Newcombe alongside consultants and developers, states it has worked with 35+ Atlantic Canadian organizations, and runs a structured four-phase accelerator programme in addition to custom agent and automation development. Named clients and sectors include Dalhousie University, provincial government in Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island, manufacturing, engineering and contracting, forestry and agriculture, and professional services.
Where it falls short: pricing is not public, there is no published Canadian data residency statement, and the emphasis on consulting and enablement means less evidence of operating agents in production than the build-focused firms above.

#12SOAP Media — Ottawa, Ontario
SOAP Media Inc. is a family-owned Ottawa digital agency that describes itself as rooted in Ottawa and proudly Canadian, with offices also listed in Toronto and Vancouver. Its AI practice covers intelligent chatbots and voice assistants, custom-built AI agents trained on brand-specific data, AI-enhanced customer support, automated email workflows, CRM integration and calendar and appointment automation. Named sectors in its case work include HVAC, plumbing, paving, family law, healthcare and e-commerce. For an Ottawa business that wants agents delivered alongside its marketing rather than as a separate engineering engagement, it is a sensible single vendor.
Where it falls short: it is a marketing agency first. No public pricing, no data residency statement, no published production agent count, and no bilingual delivery statement despite the Ottawa–Gatineau market.

How did we rank these companies?
We scored every company on the seven criteria in the methodology table, using only what it publishes on its own website. Production AI agents actually shipped carries the most weight, followed by Canadian data residency and PIPEDA posture, then transparent pricing in Canadian dollars, fixed-fee delivery, industry depth, bilingual English and French delivery, and provinces served.
Companies that publish concrete evidence rank above companies that publish only claims. That is why The Automators, at #3, sits above a larger enterprise firm: it publishes a starting price, delivery windows and a client count, while several better-funded firms publish none of those. Where a company does not publish something, the entry says so rather than guessing.
Mihron AI publishes this list and ranks itself first on these stated criteria. A buyer who weights brand recognition, institutional scale or air-gapped hosting more heavily will reach a different order — and each entry says where that happens.
What does AI automation cost in Canada in 2026?
Published Canadian prices in September 2026 fall into three bands.
- Small scoped builds, roughly CA$5,000–12,000. The Automators publishes AI agent development "from $7k, you own it". New Idea Machine publishes integration work from $5K CAD and AI agents from $10K CAD. Mihron AI's AI Readiness Sprint is CA$5,000–9,500 over two to three weeks.
- Mid-size production builds, roughly CA$10,000–60,000. Mihron AI publishes Pilot to Production at CA$30,000–60,000 over six to ten weeks. New Idea Machine publishes new apps and digital products from $20K CAD.
- Ongoing operation, monthly. Mihron AI's Fractional AI Lead is CA$3,500–7,500 per month on a three-month minimum, and Maya starts at CAD 299 per month. Agency7 publishes care plans at $99, $297 and $697+ per month. The Automators notes ongoing tool costs of roughly $40–$180 per month on top of a build.
Two costs are routinely left out of quotes. First, the run cost after go-live — model usage and telephony are metered, and an agent handling hundreds of calls a month is not free to operate. Second, change orders: a time-and-materials engagement that starts at $10,000 can drift considerably, which is the practical argument for fixed-fee scoping. Several firms on this list publish no pricing at all; that is not a red flag on its own, but it does mean the first real number arrives after a sales call.
Which provinces have the strongest AI agency ecosystems?
Ontario is the deepest market. Toronto carries both ends of the spectrum — enterprise agent builders such as Arteria AI and OffsideAI, and small fixed-fee shops — and Ottawa adds a public-sector-adjacent cluster. Alberta is the genuine surprise. Calgary and Edmonton host several firms that publish real prices and real delivery timelines, likely because energy, logistics, construction and trades operators there buy automation directly and expect a number up front.
British Columbia's Lower Mainland has a tight cluster of voice and workflow agencies serving Metro Vancouver, generally strong on capability and weak on published pricing. Québec is structurally different: bilingual delivery and Québec's privacy law shape the buying process, so Montréal-region firms lead with French-first agents rather than English products with a translation layer. Atlantic Canada is thinner, with Halifax as the centre of gravity and a stronger consulting-and-enablement flavour than build-shop flavour.
The whole market is still expanding. Statistics Canada reported that 19.2% of businesses used AI to produce goods or deliver services in the second quarter of 2026, roughly triple the 6.1% recorded in the second quarter of 2024.
What should you ask a Canadian AI agents company before signing?
- Show me a named agent already running in production. What does it do when it fails, and who gets paged?
- Which cloud region do my data and any call transcripts live in? Put it in the contract.
- Is this fixed-fee or time and materials? What does a change order cost, and who approves one?
- Who owns the code, the prompts and the integrations when we part ways?
- What is the monthly run cost after go-live, including model usage and telephony?
- Will you sign a data processing agreement referencing PIPEDA — and PHIPA or Québec's Law 25 if health or Québec personal information is involved?
- Is French delivery native, or machine translation applied afterwards? Ask to hear or read it.
- How long does onboarding actually take, and which named people from your team are on it?
Any vendor that cannot answer questions one, two and four in writing is not ready to handle your operations.
Does your data stay in Canada?
It depends entirely on the vendor, and most do not say. Of the twelve companies here, four publish something meaningful. Mihron AI keeps processing and storage in Canadian data regions and handles data on a PIPEDA and PHIPA-compliant basis. OffsideAI states it configures agentic architectures to run strictly within the cloud regions a client's regulations require. A1 Automate Now states Canadian data residency. New Idea Machine goes furthest for confidentiality-sensitive work, publishing that agents can run on your own hardware and that you decide where in the world your data lives.
The other eight publish no data residency statement. That is not evidence that data leaves Canada — most agencies simply have not written the page. But silence is not a commitment. If you handle personal health information under PHIPA, personal information under Québec's Law 25, or client files under professional privilege, get the storage region named in the contract before a single record moves. The question to ask is not "are you compliant?" but "which region, and will you write it down?"
